Zachary David turns 4!!!
Had to add blueberries to the cake
The last 4 years we have had a joint party for the boys with all their california friends (we missed you today friends!) So this year was something different- a special day for each of them.
1st stop- the park, where Zach was the captain of the boat and kept telling me to get out of the water and into the boat.
The captain takes a birthday phone call from Gram
She loves to swing!
Brothers gotta hug- or maybe wrestle...
2nd stop- Toys R Us, part of the birthday club gets you a crown, balloon and $3 off coupon- Zach chose a shield and sword
And it had to be tested first of course
3rd stop- Chuck E. Cheese's
4th up- home for nap and a bday card from Gram in the mail
She read it to the boys (she is seriously more advanced then they were at her age- it's the girl thing:)
Next- Picnic dinner at a nearby pond. When I asked Zach what his favorite thing for dinner would be he said corn, red pepper, blueberries and watermelon- so that's what we had plus sandwiches. He's our best eater by far!
We could not keep rico out of the water- he loved it. He also loved shaking the water off as close to us as possible.
I went to put the picnic stuff in the car so we could walk around the lake (nice, calm weather) and as I returned to where everyone else was by the lake-fierce gusty winds- like all of a sudden and so bad that we headed right back to the car. There was supposed to be possible tornado about 30 min. away.
Back at home and time to open some gifts.

Then cake and ice cream (He said his wish was that everyone, extended family, could be at his house)
Our little over the back fence climber friend, Lizzie, joined us for cake. She will be in first grade this year too.
I think Lexi liked it- anything sweet she always says, "I like it!"
