A Wedding!!!!

My sister Shannon is engaged!! She will be marrying a great guy named, Ed!! We are sooooo excited for them and their future together.... Congrats you two!!!!

Haircut Mayhem

Joshua Before.....

Lexi's interest in the hair.....

Josh is a such a trooper getting his hair cut- still not his favorite, but has come a long way and is a joy to cut compared to Zach....
Ta Da.... finished product!

Zach is already winding up for the haircut fiasco.....and we haven't even done anything! He must have said "I hate haircuts!" about 10 times during the 3 minute buzz cut.

Mid cut.... we just had to get a photo of this one. Moments later we took another break for ultra-worked-up Zach to throw up in the sink (that's always a part of the deal!) Also at which point he says, "can we be done with this thing???" Poor guy
Still blotchy and screaming, but a new boy!! Maybe you get an idea of why I put off haircuts for so long that they had become hippy boys and Dave considered letting Zach's hair continue to grow so we could donate to 'locks of love'.
Shedding their winter coat......

Little feet tracking hair all over the house while this all took place- what a joy haircuts are!

Zachisms 7

This morning as I was getting Zach dressed he says, "I'm so cool with this stuff ." referring to his dinosaur shirt and tatoo he got at Josh's school carnival on friday. (by the way the tatoo he picked had pink and purple and says 'pirate princess')

In the car the other day he said, "I really want to grow up NOW! I want to be a baseball player and superman and batman." "Do you understand, mom?"

I told him he may want his jacket cause it is cold out there to which he replied, "Oh, I'm not going to worry about THAT!"

I asked him to go get his shoes to put on and after looking a bit he says, "I can't find them, they're good hiders."
calls Lexi "woo, woo" for LuLu

(The chair he is sitting in is a nice mission style chair- big and comfy that we got on craigslist for $25!)

Going on a Bear Hunt

They tied the wagon to the car and are heading out. Looks like Zach is in the rear yet yelling out orders as usual.

All stocked up with the sticks and shovels they will nead to "hit the bears" once they encounter them. BTW- the buzz cuts are coming soon!

Fountain Nature Center

It was a very cool place-lots of animals and will be especially beautiful when everything turns green.

Picnic at the Park

There was even built in frisbee golf stations. Pretty warm, but windy.
Our friend Mercy came with us and showed us some nice parks around our new area we are moving to.

Wanna Piece Of Me??

Zach says, "Wanna piece of me?" Josh says, "yeah" and wresling ensues. This repeated itself about 20 times.

Hopefully the last snow play

Poor Lex got left inside and she knew it!

Mom's thought

I have done some going through stuff to sell on craigslist and this coming sat. I am having a garage sale with the rest of the stuff. We are preparing for move number five in our 7 years of marriage! And mind you that each one has gotten increasingly more difficult with the addition of another small child! Besides organizing, packing, garage sale, lining up trucks and movers, cleaning the old house, we always try to do some painting, flooring, etc. in the new house before moving in. Some of you have been here and know what I'm talking about. I am about to head into the worst move yet I fear- 3 little kids and no family around to help!! Needless to say I keep wishing there was some way to just fast forward throught the next month or two. Not fun, not fun at all.

Joshua's Thoughts

Driving the other day Josh said, "How did dinosaurs get dead?" I said, it was all part of God's plan- that the dinosaurs would come first and then us, I don't really know" Then Josh says, "I think papa would know" Too true- he has already figured out that grandpa knows the answer to just about any question. Too bad he wasn't here to ask!

Yesterday Josh asked if all people die. (doing some thinking about death I guess- this one he said a boy in his class stated) I was not too happy about this boy sharing his views with my son, but it actually brought about a good conversation about how we get to heaven. Some of Josh's other questions, "Does God have a big house? Are there cars there? Is God white? Is He big? How far away is Heaven?" I am thankful for the conversation we had just driving in the car. (Zach was there too and had an opinion upon hearing that if some people die first and then go to heaven and others are alive when Jesus returns that he definitely wants to be one of the alive people)

A Zachary Thought

I have been selling some things on craigslist the past few days. Zach is home for all these transactions and hasn't always like them so yesterday as someone walked off with something Zach says, "Why are we putting all our stuff into all the people's car??" I said, "so we can get $" to which he quickly replied, "money for the ice cream truck?"

A Beautiful & Warm Day

We did indeed have a beautiful and WARM Sunday! The next few days are supposed to be even warmer! (I once again like colorado springs:) Sort of a fair weather friend, I guess) We tried out a new park (there are so many around here) that had it all- play area, little lake, ducks, rocks, big grassy area and all with a beautiful backdrop of Pikes Peak.

Zach & Ducks

He loves chasing ducks (and birds, squirrels, small animals that he thinks he may be able to catch) He said he was going to catch a duck and then we could make it for dinner.
