The new bath buddies are Zach and Lexi. Josh on his own accord graduated to taking showers- he loves them and bugs us to take a shower. I guess there are worse things to be bugged about.
Lexi finally got her birthday present. It took a couple months of trying on craigslist. (Thanks Nana & Papa!!) It just bought me a few more minutes of Lexi-free time a day! The boys like it as much or more than she does. Something they can all play together.
Zach runs around with the plastic knives saying "Sooooper Knife!" And Josh likes to use it as a jungle gym. The boys think of things that Lexi never would.
We found a fun and educational game called Zingo. It combines matching pictures with simple word recognition- great for younger kids and is actually pretty fun for adults (at least once or twice an evening- maybe not the 10 times the kids would want to play) The boys have loved it and Zachary gets very animated yelling "Zingo!" with volume and passion each time. It's pretty cute.
Gummy worms & phone calls to dad/grandparents about the big happenings.
Lexi does her part to make the potty seem good and fun. We still have a ways to go to get it down. He's a bit too smart (and too stubborn for it to take too quickly) He goes when he feels like getting a treat or toy and the other times I ask him he says, "maybe I'll just try tomorrow". Then he will be standing next to me and say, "Don't smell anything!" not realizing if the smell didn't tip me off, he just did. (that part is not too smart I guess) He does it with other things too. "mom, don't see what I'm doing" when he thinks it's something he might get in trouble for. At that point I know I better look. 
Dave cannot get enough of those rocky mountains. Four months later I still continuously hear, "I love those mountains. Look at how beautiful that is. Sign me up!"
A stop at Baja Fresh. 1 of 3 things missing from Colo. Springs. The second was Costco, but it is actually opening this wed. The third is Trader Joes:( And of course our family & friends- we are ready for you to start moving here anytime:)
Next stop- The Denver Museum of Nature and Science. This is the view from the top. We were there about 4 hours and could have spent much more. A cool place that entertained adults as well as a 3 year old- not always easy to do. Next time we will pick a day other than a holiday- it was pretty crowded.
Dinosaur exhibit- a pretty big hit with the 2 dinosaur lovers in our home.
There was actually an argument in the car before we even got here where Zach was stating that he can run faster than a cheetah. Josh did not believe it was so. Zach was not giving up. He was pretty happy to find his cheetah. Next it was on to Casa Bonita. 
Ah, good old casa bonita- 'member Martin kids? Good times;o) Not the cheapest meal, not the best food, but the atmosphere makes up for it- we got sat right by the waterfall where they have cliff diving and gorilla shows. Then we explored some cave areas, saw the gift shop and the boys got to do a pinata in the kids area. Not your everyday mexican restaurant.
The best part for the adults- the sopapillas- worth the drive alone- good stuff!!
