Official One Year Old

Last Sat. Feb. 2nd our little Alexis Lynne turned one! (And she sadly had a double ear infection:( She is also affectionately known as Lexi, Lex, Lulu, Lu, Luie, Luzer, Luzy, Ali (mostly by uncle Bret, but it is growing on me), bubbette (since we have 2 bubbas) & little girl. She has grown and changed so much in the last year it is truly amazing. She still has her beautiful blue eyes which suprised us since neither Dave nor I do. She started at 8lbs 13oz and now weighs 26 lbs. She has been on the big side of the percentage charts just like her brothers. She loves yogurt, and will eat most foods. She loves shoes- at least picking them up and moving them around the house, she loves her dollies (goes looking for them, then hugs and kisses them and has a word that sounds almost like dolly) She likes looking at books and will talk in her made up baby words like she is reading it. She has quite a scream when she doesn't get something she wants. She has recently learned to drink from a straw. She has an adorable backwards wave where her palm is up and her fingers are actually waving back at herself. She often will wave to strangers- in a car next to us, leaving a table at a restaurant. She clearly said "nana" when she wanted some of Zach's banana, and has since transferred "nana" to mean any food item. She enjoys her brother's (when they are not knocking her down or trying to wrestle) Joshua is great at playing with her and making her laugh. Zach gets a little more irritated with her than Josh when she takes his toys, etc. but he is very concerned for her if she ever gets hurt, has to get a shot, or take medicine (which he hates) She has brought such joy and love to our hearts and home. Happy Birthday, little girl!!!!
