The Boy Bounces Back

Josh still holds to the statement that he was "all healed yesterday". I don't know how, but to watch him it appears that that is true. Today he played, ran, ate as if nothing had happened yesterday. We even took him to meet up with his class at the pumpkin patch this morning and tomorrow he is heading back to school- 2 days sooner than I had told the office. PLUS all of this with NO pain medication other than what they may have given him in his IV right after the surgery. They wanted him to take some pain medication before leaving the hospital, but he was getting so worked up about having to drink some medicine that he was coughing which wasn't so good for the throat. So I nervously left the hospital without him having taken the pain med. plus we didn't even fill the pain prescription we were given thinking we would start out with tylenol and see from there- he has taken no tylenol, no nothing and since yesterday afternoon has said his throat does not hurt! Amazing! We are very thankful for the Lord's care of him. He is so excited for tomorrow when he can eat "crunchy" foods. Eating softer foods and avoiding dairy the first day has been the hardest part for him! The black lab in the photo, Molly, got to go with him into surgery and recovery.
