Nothing too exciting for these old folks and youngins. (the Kaspars and bec and nan had already left for Spokane) Dave had to work a half day, then we drove to Denver, met up with Bret & visited some of my parents family friends, drove by where my parents had lived in Denver, and had dinner at Applebees. Bret took off for other plans while the rest of us drove through downtown Denver- they had pretty cool Christmas lights, got Starbucks then drove home. We watched Evan Almighty then lost a few to a nap. At midnight it was just mom, dad and me- from our front room we could see a few fireworks from the top of Pike's Peak. Each year a group hikes up there to set off the fireworks. (We actually missed watching the ball drop 2 times- by just a couple minutes- but still- twice!)
