Denver Zoo

Strange, but cool mix of giraffe and zebra- I forget their name.

Lexi soooo wanted the peacock and ducks wandering by to come to her and got upset when they didn't:)

She really enjoyed the ice cream too- it was a hot day.

Poor James was not feeling good:(

C.S. Zoo & Guiseppes w/ Uncle James

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo now has a new exhibit- Rocky Mountain Wild with bears, moose, otters, & trout. Zach LOVED the bears- said he wants to catch one when he grows up and was very upset to leave them.

Mother's Day @ 11 Mile Creek

Happy Mother's Day!

Beautiful tulips and a posterboard with traced hands, and a picture of mom drawn by Josh (thanks, Dad!)

Signs of Spring

Man, it took forever- but a long, cold, winter (at least from our perspective) definitely makes the spring that much sweeter. The warmth of the sun, the chirping of the birds and the beauty of the blooms- it's been heaven!

The House Is Ours!

Very exciting, very scary, very fun, very overwhelming and very busy for the next month! A nice basket from our realtor- the "basket" is a nice, big salad bowl- great idea. There will be some before and after photos to come in the next week or two.

15 Months Old

She had a check-up today and we have a healthy baby girl- thankfully her ears looked fine. She is in the 95% for weight- 27lbs and 85% for height- 31.5inches.

Moving Update

We are closing this coming Monday at 11:30am. It's a little different here than California- all parties meet to sign papers and then the keys are handed off to us. In Calif. we were always waiting to find out when the loan funded and then got recorded and then we'd get the keys and that usually ended up being a few days later than anticipated. Anyways, I have been going through stuff, having our own garage sale, then a MOPS garage sale, and just barely starting to pack some stuff. From the inspection it was determined that the house needed a new roof so that is being done now, we are looking at paint colors and carpet and will have some time to do a little work and have a little time to move everything. We have a contract at our rental house until the end of June. I did let the landlord know what was going on and he said he would try to get someone in to rent so we don't have to pay the last month, but I haven't heard of any developments yet so I am not quite sure when we will actually move yet- by early, mid June at the latest because we will be meeting my family in Breckenridge the last week of June. So we have A LOT of packing, painting, and moving ahead of us yet, but it is exciting and we are so grateful to have our own house soon. Dave's brother is coming out for a visit next week for a few days so we will be doing some sightseeing and fun in there too.
